12:35 am - They're coming down the hills
|
Quite a contrast tonight, two pencil-shaded pieces and two cgs. =3
Dawn!Alucard Media: #2 mechanical pencil LJ-Cut: ( Ruse ) Notes: Continuing the tradition of putting Alucard in something /really/ girly. x3 I drew this while I was waiting for a tire alignment at Goodyear (an alignment that was not to be, as they wanted to rip everything out and charge me $2k for it, ahahahaha no thanks). A lady that was sitting beside me commented that I "[made] it look so easy" and it got me rather flustered. x_x'
Dawn!Alucard Media: Sanford Design pencils and mechanical pencil LJ-Cut: ( Sell My Shadow ) Notes: Since I figured I was so successful with 'Ruse', I wanted to do another pencilled piece and pulled out the good drawing pencils. This scanned really dark. x_X' I was going to put Hellhounds behind him, but I couldn't get the sketches to look right, so! Swirly shadowy tendrils!
Integra Media: Photoshop 7 LJ-Cut: ( Nouveau ) Notes: Gah, I effed up so much on this one. Really don't like her face but I invested too much in her hair and clothes to just leave it a sketch, heh. I set my brushes on the wrong settings and my colours ended up too thick and unblended. u_u' Eh, oh well. We all learn from our mistakes... hay, Mucha influence!
Seras Media Photoshop 7 LJ-Cut: ( Violet ) And the full-size version. Lookit the details! Notes: Hey, my brushes are on the correct settings! /Finally/ got around to colouring this piece, which I've wanted to do for ages. I love Seras. She rocks muchly. :D

3:34 am - In lines that number thousands
|
Got some Copic markers at A-Kon, so of course I had to test them out. Ended up colouring a full piece with them, but as I'm still muttering over /that/ one, here's some little test Alucards for your delight.
Survey says I need to get more for better gradientiness, but OMG they BLEND on COPY PAPER -gasp!- This is unheard. And I love how the tips have a bit of give to them, compared to my Prismacolors. The ink doesn't just bleed everywhere, either. Mmm, nummy.
Onward!
Sailor Girlycard LJ-Cut: ( Victory ) Notes: No pencils, just straight out sketching with zee Microns, then the Copics. He just can't not be creepy in that form, I think. Little children are very sinister creatures.
Alucard LJ-Cut: ( Heheheh ) Notes: I like how his tie thingeh came out. Eeeheehee blending! Yes yes, you're adorable and swishy, d'aww.
And now, a slightly-more-serious piece that I did a couple of hours ago. Got the urge to scribble a bit with the tablet. Might colour it later, but for now I like the black and white.
Integra LJ-Cut: ( Stoicism ) Notes: Not quite sure why her eye is bleeding, eep. Suffice to say whomever's responsible will shortly be without theirs. =3

Bit of a different style, here.

1:51 pm - Quick change :O
|
I was reading through the archives of And Shine Heaven Now when I came across the time-bending Read or Die/HG Wells/Dracula arc and wau! Spiffy. :D 'Course, most of you know I'm a sucker for Steampunk and the Victorian era, so Erin's drawings of Integra in period costume had me reaching for the sketchpad.
So this drawing is for her. :) Thanks for being my muse!
Characters: Integra and Alucard Lineart LJ-Cut: ( Traveling ) Notes: Yorkies can be Hellhounds. -shifty- Once I'd finished with Integra I wanted to put the hound in there, but a big, massive dog would have just looked... weird. Yorkshire Terriers were a popular breed in the Victorian period- Alucard would blend in better like this. :D Integra's costume and pose is a lift from a print in the late 19th century, showing a lady in a traveling costume appropriate for the times.
Character: Dawn!Alucard Media Used: Ballpoint pen, cheap black marker LJ-Cut: ( What Is THAT? ) Notes: Not terribly pleased with this, but I liked the pose and his hair and the costume and the high-dudgeon he seems to have worked himself into. xD I want to know what he's making a fuss over.

1:08 am - I love marble floors :D
|
I couldn't let this piece go.
Character: Integra Hellsing Media used: Oekaki Poteto, Photoshop 7 LJ-Cut: ( Ascot ) Notes: This was originally a piece scribbled out over at Oekaki Central that ended up really, really crappy. oo' Bad background, bad colouring, bad compression when it was saved to a low-quality jpg... I salvaged most of the lineart and began anew in Photoshop.
I wonder why she's on the floor, toying with Alucard's ascot? :0

3:22 am - Whoa. An update. :0
|
Bear with me, this is a lot. Eep. Also, there is crack with Girlycard. Just so you're forewarned. :D
As all of these are hosted in ImageShack, please to know that you've got to click them for a full-view. :3
Character: Dawn!Alucard Media Used: Micron pens Notes: Summer is on its waaaaay! I keep flip-flopping on how to draw his face. Smaller eyes? Eyes with darker circles? Eh. It's Alucard- he looks like what he wants to look like. o_O; If I ever decide to redo this piece, I'm putting his glovey sigils on the floaties. :D LJ-Cut: ( Ice Cream )
For twinenigma Character: Shojou Dawn!Alucard Lineart Notes: Oh come on. You know I had to. I kept picturing a severed head in his other hand- the ground will be smeared with blood when it's coloured. :D Lj-Cut: ( Who's Innocent? )
And also for twinenigma, who is evil and fabulous for putting this in my head. Character: Dawn!Alucard Lineart Notes: I love senshi fuku. Mwahaha. He's a little taller than he probably should be, but eh. I had so much fun with all the details, even though his hair took forever. I hope you like him! xD LJ-Cut: ( Shojoucard - /Shhh/ )
Character: Alucard Media used: Pencil, Photoshop 7 Notes: Originally this was supposed to be part of a larger piece with more characters, but then I decided I didn't like what I had and hacked it all to bits. Big nod to Solid & Etc here, particularly with the colouring- she's got a fabby Integra piece that utilizes the same palette and colourstyle. LJ-Cut: ( Fuschia )
And that's enough of Alucard. Whew!
Characters: Seras Victoria and Mokona (Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles) Lineart - Unfinished Notes: Yes, Clamp fans, that's Mokona. There are so many things wrong with thiiiis! Besides the fact that Mokona is currently resting on nothing but air, rofl. I drew this quite a while ago, around when I drew Floatiecard. Her skirt's waaay too short, haha. I'd really like to put a cute background with it, but I've a feeling it'll take me until the end of summer. So enjoy it now, in all its unfinished glory. xD LJ-Cut: ( Sugar )
Character: Seras Victoria Lineart Notes: I wanted to put her in a pencil skirt. :3 This came from salvaged from the same piece as "Fuscia". She certainly looks serious. LJ-Cut: ( Properly Attired )
Is that it? -rummages files- Wow, it is. I don't think I've ever posted so much at once. xD At any rate, view, comment, enjoy, you silly sods. ;P

Blech. So Photobucket putzed out on me and I've had to resort to ImageShack to get art online. -shudder-
That being said, here's something I finally set about making, just on a whim- Hellsing blood pack labels.

There's so many things wrong with this. But i don't caaaaaaare! This massive monster is DONE. OMG.
Here, enjoy. ;p
preview:
Characters: ikkle!Integra, Alucard Media used: Micron pen, Prismacolor marker, chalk pastel and white paint pen on vellum Notes: A friend here gifted me with the vellum and since I'm always game to try out some new art supplies, I went flying at it. Integra was ganked from a previous piece of mine. I liked her pose so much that I wanted to have another go at it, in colour and with a different version of Alucard. And with a better gun, mwaha!
Alucard, btw, was a PAIN IN THE ASS. I finished most of the background lineart, ink and colour in one night, along with Integra's colour, but I put Alucard off for a week. I finally sat down and inked his vinyl last night. I ended up going over a lot of the marker with some pastels, to soften here and there, to bring out highlights and to add texture and more complex shadows.
Ignore Parliament. I can't draw architecture for beans, rofl. That's why it's on fire! :U
I suppose there's some kind of symbolism foreshadowing stuff here. Or something. I did what popped into my head. :3 LJ-Cut: ( The Edge of Revelation )
Characters: ikkle!Integra, Alucard Media used: Pencil and xerox paper. High-rollin', yo. Notes: I'm demented. But I bet he'd totally wear a kilt, just to be cheeky. I finished this not too long before I ran out to the Irish Fest last weekend. How appropriate! In hindsight I think he's probably wearing his too high, but I like it when guys show their knees. ;p So there.
Check the batwing sporran. lololol.
Integra is in a boy's kilt, just cos. :3 And she looks slightly cheesed off at something. She is also too young here to have known Alucard, but, ohwell. It's fanart. It's dumb. Whatevah. LJ-Cut: ( Lucky Charms? )

4:43 am - Degradation
|
There was a mirror in my dream this morning, bloody red, in a pitted and weathered gold frame and taller than I could even see.
It had this white scratch/crack in it, running eyelevel near the bottom, with tinier scratches branching off it.
I had to draw it to get it out of my head, so it is shoddy and the background itself sucks but don't make the picture smaller- you have to see it all up close because, even though you'll never understand the terrifyingly demented grandness and scale of this thing you might can sense how small I felt in its presence.
It is only more terrifying now because of what is staring out at you in the red. I shouldn't post this- I hate it. But it's- necessary? I didn't draw that. And I'm not afraid of it.
Media Used: Photoshop 7 Lj-Cut: ( Dwelling On The Mirror And Seeing Not Yourself, But )
I wish I could work more on it. At least it won't haunt me, now.

Let's just jump right in, shall we?
Character: Dawn!Alucard Media used: Micron pens Notes: That's... three of the "oxford shirt and undone tie" pieces. Okay, it's a series now! His hair looks stringy here. You can tell I enjoy my red brush pen a little too much. And his face is too long. -sigh- LJ-Cut: ( Sullen Red )
Character: Integra Media used: Scanned lineart; Photoshop 7 Notes: I totally and completely stole this concept and the fuku design from twinenigma. With some alterations, mind. ;3 You can see her original piece here! Check out her whole gallery. It's fantasticness. :D
This is the result of staying up until almost sunrise, surrounded by Hellsing manga and in that loopy headspace past the point of where you /know/ you should have been asleep five hours ago. Wait 'til you see Sailor Alucard She was coloured in a similar fashion over two days. I finally finished her at about three this morning, thank God.
There's still bits that could stand to be worked on, but yeesh. Not now. xD My tablet hand is dead. Check below for a closer shot of her face. LJ-Cut: ( Sailor Hellsing - Target: Eliminated ) ( Face Detail )

1:13 am - Smirking the Smirky Smirk
|
Here's something a little different, a photo edit! iStock has a Russian photographer who did a series of photos of a young woman with all the accoutrements of Integra. Naturally, you all know I couldn't leave well enough alone. ;P
So, since the hair/eye colour was slightly off and I haven't edited a photo in ages, I popped one of the pics into Photoshop and went to town. There's still some stuff that needs to be tweaked, but I'm putting her up anyway. xD
Character: Integra Hellsing Media Used: Some manner of digital camera/Photoshop 7 Notes: Changed the hair colour, eye colour, made her eyes not so bloodshot... um... heh, brushed her hair and darkened her skintone up just a wee bit. ;p I'd like to go back and fix her hairline and some of the shadows and add a bit more flyaway strands, but... gah, I need a break. xD I'm so proud of myself though- I had to use a mask to work with her hair colour and I haven't used a mask in Photoshop since... '00? Go me. Original LJ-Cut: ( Snerk )
Werd.

Maybe I'll make a habit of drawing a Millennium character before I post here. x3 They're such interesting bad guys.
Character: Zorin Pencil Lineart Notes: Some of her outfit is probably wrong. Hirano doesn't give her a lot of full-body shots. I could've done a better job with her tattoos. Can't wait to see how they'll handle that in the OVA. LJ-Cut: ( Display )
Character: Alucard Media used: Micron pens, Photoshop 7 Notes: Just faffing about with my brush pens again. Wanted to see if I could pull off a "character looking straight up" pose. You can kinda tell he's in the straight jacket. xD LJ-Cut: ( In All Its Glory )
Character: Dawn!Alucard Media used: Ballpoint pen Notes: The stripes on his pyjamas were really lost in the scan. This was a fifteen-minute sketch on the back of an old Inventory packet during my break. Had to do some major editing to erase the shape of Count Von Count on the other side of the paper. x3 This is kinda cracky, but ohwell! Dawn!Alucard just lends himself well to crack. I'm really liking using pens again. xD Here, have some more:
Character: Rip Van Winkle Media used: Ballpoint pen, Photoshop 7.0 Notes: Rip is so dorky and insane and spiffy. I had fun with her hair. 8D LJ-Cut: ( Mme Crazy-Face )
Characters: Dawn!Alucard and ikkle!Integra Media used: Sakura Micron pens and Photoshop 7.0 Notes: Blame andsaca369 for this one. She suggested drawing Alucard with a spiral straw and this scene popped to mind. This would be why Alucard never accompanied Integra to private school. -g- LJ-Cut: ( That 'A' Ain't for 'Effort' )

Two pieces, Integra and Alucard respectively.
Character: Integra Hellsing Media used: Pencil Lineart Notes: I've never drawn a non-SD Integra. She looks so feminine here. It's kinda odd. I should have given her a cigar xD LJ-cut: ( Wind )
Character: Alucard Media used: cheapass dollar-store Hello Kitty ballpoint pen Notes: Pretty damn good for all I had to work with at the time. I really don't use pen all that often, and usually never use ballpoint pens because're too much hassle. Can anyone tell I like drawing hair? xD LJ-Cut: ( Hither )
Eh, they're wearing pretty much the same thing. o0 Maybe I should do a series? -chinstroke-

4:16 pm - Revisiting an old style
|
An unnamed cyberpunk angel. :D Lineart. I actually drew her in '06- still have a lot of sketches from that time that need to be scanned and coloured.
Media used: Pencil Notes: Around when Matrix: Reloaded came out, I started drawing a ton of cyberpunk-inspired art. There's still a couple pieces in my dA gallery like that. :3 At any rate, seeing as how I've been drawing wizards and period clothing for five million ages, I decided to try my hand at this again. 12:07 am - Vampires and ink, oh my!
|
About time I finally updated this thing, hm?
I recently got back into Hellsing. n_n The overall tone of the series lends itself well to bold colours and ink work, so I just started scribbling.
Character: Dawn!Alucard, also known as "Girlycard" Media used: Sakura Micron liner & brush pens Notes: I'm usually so meticulous about doing a pencil sketch first, but this time I just went at the page with my pen. and what do you know? He doesn't look half bad. :D LJ-Cut: ( Study )
Characters: Alucard and ikkle!Integra Media used: Same as above, plus pencil :3 Notes: I finished quite a lot of the inking on this one during my lunch break at work. xD Tried to see if I could do some of Alucard's creepy shadowyness of doom. Oh hay Integra's totally not clad in precisely the same uniform as per canon, but thhhbbt. LJ-Cut: ( Watching You )

A repost from my other LJ, this is for those of you from DA who missed it. :3
Characters: Lily Evans, Severus Snape Rating: G LJ-Cut: ( Studying Hard? )
Notes: Orange! :D Maybe sunsety in the library? Who knows.
Yes, that's Severus's tongue peeking out. It's a bizarre habit of my own, when I'm puzzling over a task. He's got to have had some oddball twitchy habits like that when he was younger.
